Barre Babes, Unite! is a two-day community event for all barre lovers bright to you by Shannon Werner (Relevate Life), Nadia Murdock (Nadia Murdock Fit), and Michelle DuVall (Barre Variations)! Whether you’re a teacher, studio owner, a barre addict, or brand new to barre, this is for you! Meet like-minded people, and join us for a weekend filled with booty shakin’ moves, learning, connection, and FUN. Come experience different flavors of barre classes led by some of the industry's best from east coast to west coast, and learn how to take your barre workouts next level in our mini-workshops! Barre instructors, you can earn CECs and get inspired by the differnt styles of barre in the master class! We believe that barre creates strong bodies, minds, and hearts….and even stronger communities. Barre is for every body, and there’s room at the barre for all. Meet The Team
Nadia Murdock is a nationally recognized fitness coach, barre instructor, published author and regular on-air fitness expert as seen on E! News, Fox, Today.com, SELF, Harper's Bazaar and Life & Style just to name a few. She is living proof that her “train your mind, change your body” method works. After changing her own life via her own weight loss journey to a healthier lifestyle she became dedicated to sharing that power with others through her company Nadia Murdock Fit. Nadia has a B.A. in Psychology, certified barre and POP Pilates instructor. She taps into the strength and power of the mind when advising others in achieving their fitness goals. She also enjoys all forms of fitness from barre to weight training workouts and never goes a day without breaking a sweat.
Shannon is the founder of Relevate, a Barre and Pilates studio based in San Diego, CA. Relevate's signature barre class is a turbocharged movement experience that strengthens the body, uplifts the mind, and nourishes the soul. Shannon is passionate about all things movement, and has a diverse athletic background ranging from endurance sports (long-distance triathlon, cycling, marathons) to mindful movement practices like yoga, barre, and Pilates. Shannon holds two 200hr Yoga Teacher certifications through Radiant Yoga and YogaWorks, and received her barre certification through barres3. She is a Certified Level 1 STOTT PILATES® instructor, and is currently working towards her full certification.
An expert movement teacher, and former professional dancer, who finds joy in motivating others to make connections through mindful movement. Michelle holds a BFA in Dance, PMA®-CPT, 200hr Yoga certification, and trained in The Roll Model Method by Jill Miller. With her rich background in various movement styles, Michelle created Barre Variations. A manual, method, and video library with an expanded syllabus of choreography and technique. Michelle believes that there is plenty of room at the barre, and aspires to inspire others to let their inner creative barre star shine!
